"Hoeveel buitelanders was hier"

BG Visser skryf:

"Ask no questions, hear no lies."

No traffic officers at night

Wayne Gonsalves writes:

I would like to know why are there no traffic officers doing patrol at night time, or doesn’t their patrol cars have head lights?

I have been staying in Carletonville for eight years and in that time I only saw a patrol car of Merafong city once and that was at the shops and never again, except when there is an accident.

But in general there are no traffic officers to be seen at night, or are they afraid to come out at night?

Dankie Reef-Tune up

Hein Marais skryf:

Ek het puik diens ontvang van Reef Tune-up and Panel beaters in Carletonville nadat my bakkie verlede jaar deur ‘n wit barbaar gestamp is.

Puik naverkope diens!

Help to make shelter for needy a reality

N.C. Frisby writes:

I encountered a notice at Uys motors where many ABSA clients were able to draw cash from the ABSA ATM for many years gone by.

Discussing the situation with the manager of the service station he informed me, that Shell Oil Co required a Standard Bank ATM to be installed.

When looking at the situation it appears there is collusion with Standard Bank and the oil companies.

Welverdiend Motors had a ABSA ATM that was removed and replaced with a Standard Bank ATM. Slabbert Motors along with the others are also equipped with Standard Bank ATM machines.

The question is: is this a collusion that needs to be investigated by the competition board?

The oil company franchised sites are a law unto them selves. The manager running the site has to purchase the product and pay up front. Put up with cash shortages, theft, credit card fraud and bad mannered customers.

The democratic constitution says free enterprise, freedom of speech. Where has the freedom of choice gone? The owner/ manager is no longer allowed to have the freedom of choice for the bank ATM of his wishes by being bullied by the oil companies.
